Jennifer Collins, M.Ed., LPC, NCC

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a PA Certified School Counselor K-12, I possess both experience and passion for working with youth of all ages. Additionally, I finished a 2-year training program to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and I am currently obtaining the required supervision hours to earn the RPT credential. After working with children in the school setting for the past 10 years in grades K-6,  I made the decision to pursue private practice full-time.   I feel blessed that I am able to use the gifts that God has given me to help others on their journey to healing and achieving their personal treatment goals!

Before working in the school-setting, I gained experience working with adults, families, and children in the community setting as an Outpatient Counselor, Mobile Therapist, and a Behavior Specialist.  I worked with a wide variety of clients and issues. I have treated clients for anxiety, depression, family conflict & relationships, women’s issues, chronic pain, trauma, abuse, grief & loss, adjustment issues, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, ADHD, Autism, and childhood behavioral issues.  I am passionate about helping my clients discover their potential and equip them with the tools and skills they need to be successful in all areas of their lives. 

I utilize a wide variety of counseling tools and activities to help clients meet their treatment goals including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Faith-Based Counseling as requested.  I believe the relationship between a counselor and the client is a vital part of therapy, and I strive to create a warm, safe, and relaxed environment where you will be treated with respect and kindness.  I look forward to walking along beside you as you begin your therapeutic journey!
